Market shaping
To support our statutory responsibilities under the Care Act and other legislation we produce a number of market position statements. These documents are regularly updated and summarise the latest opportunities for providers to work with us in Derbyshire.
Our most recent market position statements for community and accommodation based support for older people and our MPS for building the right support are attached to this page.
For further information about market position statements please email: asch.ac-commissioning@derbyshire.gov.uk.
Market sustainability
The market sustainability plan requires us to identify the key risks to market sustainability for the 65+ care home market and the 18+ domiciliary care market, and to establish proposals to address any issues identified. The report is attached to this page.
As part of this process, we engaged a consultancy called Care Analytics to work with our providers in Derbyshire to gain a view of the local costs of providing care in residential care and nursing care for older people and for our domiciliary care for people aged 18+. The cost of care reports (attached) detail the exercise conducted and the findings of the fee analysis.
