Temporary closure of Shipley Visitor Centre
Shipley Visitor Centre will be closed from 17 February 2025 to 22 March 2025 for essential site maintenance. We're sorry for any problems this may cause.
The toilets at the visitor centre will remain open.
Trampers will still be available to hire with an existing membership.
Barefoot Lodge Tea Rooms, at Derby Lodge, provides hot drinks and food between 9.30am and 3pm every day except Wednesdays.
Park information
Whatever the season, there's always lots to see and do in the park - walking, cycling, horse riding, bird watching, angling, picnicking, kite flying, jogging, wayfaring, photography, exploring the park and much more.
Entry is free but a pay-and-display parking charge applies in our main car parks at the visitor centre and next to Mapperley Reservoir.
The car park on Shipley Hill is for Blue Badge holders only.
Parking for Blue Badge holders is free on all car parks but you must clearly display the permit to avoid a parking fine.
Find out more about car parking at Shipley Country Park.
A free 'Guide to Shipley Country Park' leaflet is available at the visitor centre, and information panels can be found on each car park.
