Peak District National Park
The Peak District National Park covers approximately a third of Derbyshire.
It employs its own rights of way officer who works with the national park's 7 constituent councils to improve and maintain the rights of way network.
The national park staff carry out a tremendous amount of work on rights of way and improving access as well as working with landowners to manage the many millions of visitors who want to enjoy this beautiful area.
We remain responsible for public rights of way in the national park area of Derbyshire (we are the highway and surveying authority for rights of way) so if you encounter any problems with the network please report them to us.
Please visit the Peak District National Park Authority website to learn more about its work.
We also work with other Derbyshire councils.
