Transcript of the audio file

"We are now at the Southern end of Locko Plantation. This plantation was first planted in the late 70s. It has gone through some trials and tribulations. Ten years into planting there was a major fire and the fire service waited in the field at the top of Locko plantation to wait for it to come to them, then they managed to extinguish the fire itself.

"Locko provides a short alternative from the trail itself, and anytime of the year is well worth a visit. The wildlife itself is really coming on. Dragonflies, butterflies and a lot of small insects and of course this attracts the bird life. We do have greater spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, tawny owl, sparrow hawks, gold finches, sometimes a goldcrest has been seen in winter and we do have occasional sightings of crossbills, when they are passing through and there is a big influx into the country. Breeding mistle thrush and song thrush, its turning out to be a really nice woodland."
