Love Food Hate Waste is a national campaign to reduce the amount of food waste sent to landfill. We waste 7 million tonnes of food and drink every year in the UK, this waste is a waste of resources and bad for the environment.
It's also a waste of money. Did you know that every month UK households throw away an average of £60 worth of food that could have been eaten? On average we throw away around a fifth of what we buy!
But by making the following changes we could all feel the benefit in our pockets. Our 50 ways to make food go further campaign aims to help everyone make their food go further and save money.
