The project takes donations of useable items of furniture which can be collected free of charge.
Upholstered items must have a current fire retardant label and TV and hi-fi cabinets have to have Kite marked glass. Fridges and freezers must be in working and will be tested prior to acceptance.
All items must clean and in working order.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering with the charity telephone: 01773 764562.
The showroom is open to the public to purchase items. Delivery can be arranged and usually costs £10 locally.
Furniture can be donated directly to the showroom by arrangement. Please contact SALCARE to check whether your furniture is suitable for reuse:
Opening times
Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4pm.
What to do if your furniture isn't suitable for re-use
If you think your unwanted furniture is not suitable for reuse, you can take it to any of our household waste recycling centres for disposal free of charge.
Your local district council will provide a bulky household waste collection service. They may charge for this.
