Some ideas to help you decide what to do with your unwanted items.

Detergents

Reduce detergent by using eco laundry balls on a low temperature washing cycle. These are helpful to people with allergies to regular washing powders.

Directories

Check with your local district or borough council for kerbside collections in your area.

Take them to the paper banks at your local recycling centre or to our household waste recycling centres.

Domestic appliances

Give unwanted domestic appliances to friends or relatives who may need them.

Offer unwanted items that are in working order on your local Freecycle or Freeglenetwork.

Sell them on internet auction websites, apps or through social media.

Advertise in the free ads section of your local newspaper.

If they are in good working order then donate them to your local furniture project.

Check with your local district or borough council to see if they offer a bulky waste collection service.

You can also take unwanted domestic appliances to any of our household waste recycling centres.
