You can change your mind easily - as long as it is before the deadline.
If you have made an online application just complete the preference change form.
But if you change your mind after the deadline preference changes will only be accepted where we agree there is a good reason for doing so, for example, a change of address. Supporting evidence may be required.
Whilst a change in your preference order may be accepted by us, dependent on the point it is received in the allocation process, it may not be possible to action the change until after the offer date, particularly if the change involves a school, or schools, in other council areas and preference information has already been exchanged.
You should also bear in mind that if you wish to add a new school to your preferences this may be treated as late.

Change of circumstances
If you or your child's circumstances change, such as a change of address or a change of current school, you must contact us immediately email admissions.transport@derbyshire.gov.uk or telephone: 01629 537479.
Any change in your circumstances might affect the allocation of a school place.
