Now is the perfect time to join us as the team is expanding and there are so many exciting ways we can make Derbyshire a better place to live by managing waste sustainably. We are starting to work on the new Derbyshire Waste Strategy and ensuring we are ready for changes in government legislation.
Over the last few years I've enjoyed encouraging residents to reduce, reuse and recycle. It's great to be able to help people manage their waste more sustainably by offering hints, tips and advice. I love the food waste reduction campaign as by reducing food waste residents can save the planet and save money.
We work closely with the contracts team to ensure residents know what to bring into our recycling centres. We work with public relations to get messages out to the public about campaigns, attend events and work closely with our district and borough councils to ensure consistency of messages given to the public.
