Direct care roles
We're looking for people to join our direct care teams to help us support vulnerable people throughout the county.
You'll provide support people living either in one of our establishments or in the community, helping them to live at home.
We have several vacancies and various hours available at locations around Derbyshire. Most of these posts will involve shift work and may include evenings and weekends, but we try to be as flexible as possible.
Roles include:
- care worker - residential
- care worker - community (enablement support workers)
- senior care worker
- residential social care worker (in our short breaks and respite centres)
- managerial roles
- catering roles
For our care worker and domestic roles you don't need previous experience as training will be given.

Adult care worker apprenticeships
We're offering apprentice opportunities to anyone considering a career in health and social.
Apprentices can be any age and you'll have ongoing support and mentoring from our experienced staff.
After completing the 18-month training you'll receive a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and we'll support you to explore a variety of job opportunities with us.
Relief direct care roles
We're offering direct care roles which can offer flexibility in the amount of hours you work each week.
You'll still need to be able to work usual care shift patterns (morning, afternoon, nights) but you can choose how many shifts you work each week, so you can find the perfect balance between work and life.
We're looking for:
- relief care workers (residential)
- relief domestics
- relief senior care workers
- relief catering assistant
Experience is needed for our relief senior care worker roles. But there are many opportunities for you to progress from a care worker to a senior position through the learning opportunities we offer.
