We are offering our popular 'driving safer for longer' information sessions to Derbyshire residents aged 50 years and older.
The 'driving safer for longer' information session offers attendees a chance to update their driving knowledge. The session aims to support residents to continue driving for as long as they choose, exploring potential difficulties which may affect driving ability along with possible solutions. Themes covered include:
- hazard perception
- smart motorways
- changes to eyesight and hearing
- driving impairments including the effects of alcohol and medication
- journey planning
- vehicle adaptations
- keeping safe in the vehicle
Dates available
A number of sessions have been organised:
- Friday 4 October 2024 from 10am to 11.30am
- Tuesday 3 December 2024 from 5pm to 6.30pm
Both courses will be online courses using Microsoft Teams, with a fee of £4 to attend.
Length of the course
The session runs for 90 minutes.

- in-person attendance fee - £8.50
