Transport for the general public and people using our services
How we provide transport for people using our services and wider public transport services need to be cost effective and provided for those most in need.
This includes:
- minibuses for transport to adult day care centres and access to services for young people
- Gold Card and b_line
- the use of taxis - currently costing us £12 million a year - to get children and young people to education and care visits
- home to school transport
- the supported bus network and community transport
The 'Passenger transport safety guidelines for passengers with additional needs' attached to this page is aimed at our drivers and passenger assistants to ensure they safely transport passengers with additional needs.
