Local studies libraries hold a huge variety of books, old and new, on all aspects of the local scene. We also keep selected material on wider English historical topics and family history.

Many local history titles are included in Derbyshire libraries' online library catalogue. But many older books are still only recorded in the card based catalogues at Chesterfield Library and the local studies library in the Derbyshire Record Office.
