Broadsheets at Chesterfield Local Studies Library

The broadsheet, or poster, collection at Chesterfield Local Studies Library is a very attractive reminder of days gone by.

The collection contains about 70 posters or broadsheets, advertising Chesterfield races and other meetings and events in the town.

They're mainly 19th century and are very evocative of their times.

As well as their visual appeal they provide information about events that may not have been otherwise recorded.
