The interim home opened to the public on Thursday 15 October 2026.
There is now space to showcase the museum and art gallery's collections, host exhibitions and welcome visitors while work continues to find a permanent home in the town.
As well as the displays of artefacts and artwork, there will be a wider programme of events, educational activities, school visits and community engagement. The museum shop sells a variety of gifts, souvenirs and books, with something to suit everyone.
Suggestions about what you would like to see included in the new service are always welcome. You can email buxton.museum@derbyshire.gov.uk or telephone: 01629 533540 or leave a comment on one of BMAG's websites or social media platforms.
Opening times:
- Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm
- Saturday from 10am to 2pm
Admission is free – donations are welcome.
