Childcare business and supportWe offer a range of support to early-years or childcare providers, to help them to provide high-quality services to children, young people and families in Derbyshire.
Our childcare improvement service offers information, advice and guidance to Ofsted-registered childcare settings and our education improvement service (early years) works with all settings that offer free early education to children aged two, three or four.
You will also find information about how we can support you if you are thinking about setting up a childcare business or becoming a childminder.
This includes looking at whether there is a demand for childcare in a particular area, how to find out about registering with Ofsted, what you might need to consider to make sure that children with additional needs or disabled children can be included.
There is a huge range of training and development opportunities open to anyone who works with children and young people in Derbyshire, many of them free − these can be found in our working with children and young people (opens in a new window) section.
All early years and childcare providers are able to advertise their service free of charge on the Family Information Directory (opens in a new window) on our website and also update their details online.
