Equal opportunities for learning
We provide a good and welcoming learning experience for all, especially for those who are new to, or returning to, learning.
Effective publicity
Our publicity is easily understood, available in different formats and widely available.
Access to guidance
We provide up-to-date information, advice and guidance about all adult learning opportunities. We ensure that learners are on a course that is right for them and that they know about further learning opportunities at the end of the course. We work closely with The National Careers Service, and can arrange appointments with National Careers Service advisers to help learners make the right choices for them, to help them move into and on in work.
Progression to other provision
Learners are given full information to help them progress to another course, whether within the Adult Community Education Service or with other providers.
Efficient enrolment
Learners are able to enrol on our courses quickly and easily. The conditions of enrolment are clearly stated. Where needed, pay-as-you-learn and postal enrolment systems are available.
High quality teaching
We try to provide a good or better learning experience to every learner. Our tutors are enthusiastic and responsive to learners' needs with up-to-date teaching and subject skills.
A friendly and safe environment in which to learn
We offer provision as close to local communities as we can. This may mean in one of our centres or by hiring a school, church hall or other community building. We ensure that the buildings used are accessible, warm, friendly and safe.
Value for money
We deliver high quality of services at the lowest cost possible. Our pricing policy aims to help everyone who wants to learn, including people facing financial hardship.
