Shine a Light at Elvaston Castle 2023
Shine A Light at Elvaston Castle.

Providing a breathtaking after-dark spectacular of light and sound, the events will transform the former stately home in the grounds of our Elvaston Castle Country Park. Cutting-edge projections, moving animations, and live music tell the story of the estate’s history of chivalry, high society and a secret garden.

And to get you into the Christmas spirit, there will also be a festive market, seasonal entertainment and street food on offer. The castle shop and Wyatts café will be open for hot drinks and there will be hot food vendors and a licensed bar within the castle courtyard. In addition there will be Christmas Carols between each show, Christmas Craft activities for Children, Festive Grotto, crafts and gift stalls.

Leader of Derbyshire County Council Councillor Barry Lewis added:

“Shine A Light is a real winter warmer providing a fantastic evening of entertainment for all the family.

“We’re proud of our role in bringing these unique experiences to Derbyshire and look forward to seeing Elvaston’s much-loved castle brought to life, entertaining tourists and residents alike again this year.”

Shine A Light includes a large-scale projection every 20 minutes throughout each evening from 5pm.

Tickets are £10 for adults and £6 per child (aged 4 to12 inclusive, free for 3 and under). Family tickets are priced at £28 (2 adults and up to 3 children). Booking fees apply.
