Bookings now open for new adult community education term

Published: 12 August 2019

Residents can now book a range of new courses and activities starting this September with our Adult Community Education Service.

We have planned a programme of practical and theory-based courses held in the daytime and evenings with many giving learners the chance to gain a qualification.

The new term starts on Monday 16 September 2019.  View the adult course brochures or pick one up from their local Adult Community Education Centre or Library. Our Cabinet Member for Young People Councillor Alex Dale, said:

“We’ve got lots of fantastic courses starting in September for residents looking to learn a new skill, get ahead in life and work or learn a new hobby.

“From maths and English to tap dancing and digital film making – there’s something for everyone. If you’ve been thinking about taking on a new challenge, now’s the time to go for it. Who knows where learning something new could take you this September.

“Take a look at what’s on offer on our website or pop into your local Adult Community Education Centre or Library to find out more.”

Courses include:

  • art – painting and drawing
  • being your own boss
  • childcare qualifications
  • Christmas crafts
  • counselling skills
  • digital film making

And many more.

Classes are held at our adult community education centres around the county as well as in many local community venues.
