What this consultation is about
Donut Creative Arts Centre (DCAS) Chesterfield (pre-COVID) ran 4 weekly art and music based open access projects for young people, principally in the Chesterfield area. As a result of a review of services, children's services is proposing changes, including the possible closure, of the sessions that are delivered from DCAS, and passing the uses of the building over to Fairplay. More appropriate alternatives have also been identified in the local area.
This is in part due to the current financial climate. It is important to highlight that the services delivered within DCAS are not statutory and consequently we are not required to provide them.
To help us make these decision we need to understand more about who uses the building and its services, and if those participating in activities provided at the building can find similar activities provided by other organisations in the community.
This survey is for service users (young people) or a parent or carer on behalf of a young person. If you are answering this survey as a member of the public or an organisation, please complete the Donut Creative Arts Centre (DCAS) Chesterfield survey.
