What this consultation is about
We are responsible for the delivery and operation of much of the large scale infrastructure required to support development such as highways, schools, libraries and waste. We work closely with local planning authorities to identify the impact of proposed development and ensure the infrastructure requirements needed to support development are identified through the planning process. Where appropriate we will seek developer contributions to mitigate the impact of new development.
In light of the changes to the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 which govern Section 106 and the Community Infrastructure Levy, our Developer Contributions Protocol has been revised in order to meet the challenges and opportunities arising from anticipated growth and development within the county. The areas now covered by the Developer Contributions Protocol are:
- highways and transport
- education
- public health and adult social care
- waste services
- library services
- broadband
- employment and skills
