The information provided will only be processed for the purpose of our emergency planning and response procedures. It will not be processed for any other purpose. The legal basis for processing is Legal Obligation, Art 6(1) (c) – Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject under section 2 of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
We will ask to check whether you have a criminal record using the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This will be processed through our Human Resources department.
Who receives the information
This information will only be shared with our officers and the volunteer management teams for the purpose of running the emergency planning volunteer teams. If your volunteering is arranged by us in co-operation with another organisation (for example, the Volunteer Partnership), we may share some of your information with them. It will not be shared with any other third parties unless required by law. The information provided will not be used for marketing purposes, or to take any automated decisions.

The information provided will be kept in accordance with our retention policy.
