Volunteering in Derbyshire

There are lots of ways you can get involved with communities in and around Derbyshire.

One of the most fulfilling ways is by becoming a volunteer.

There are many ways to volunteer depending on how much time you can spare. Full-time, part-time, evening and night volunteers are sought by various organisations across Derbyshire.

How to become a volunteer

You can volunteer with us in a variety of roles. Most volunteer opportunities across the council are advertised in volunteer centres across Derbyshire. The volunteer centres also provide volunteer opportunities for a range of organisations across Derbyshire.

We have a number of schemes in place including:

• countryside volunteering
• intergenerational projects
• Volunteer Passport - our training scheme for volunteers working with adults, children, schools and agencies across Derbyshire
