Grants to luncheon clubs, older peoples clubs and clubs for disabled people

We offer grants to current organisations who run clubs for older and disabled people but have suspended new applications due to financial pressures.

The effects of rising prices and increased demand on many of our services have driven up our costs, both in terms of expenditure and in terms of demand for our services. As a result, we have imposed a series of financial measures that have been implemented to take immediate action to control our spending.

After careful consideration, we've taken the decision to pause further awards of grants to any new Derbyshire luncheon clubs. This means that for the time being we will no longer be receiving applications until further notice.

Our website will be updated with information about the scheme in the future.

Honouring grants to luncheon clubs for 2021 to 2025

We will be continuing to honour grants to all luncheon clubs currently receiving a grant for 2024 to 2025 at the following amounts payable:

  • clubs open 3 days per week £219
  • clubs open less than 3 days per week £110

Your club will be expected to agree to the standard conditions for all organisations who receive financial assistance from the adult care department.
