Holiday activities and food programme

The programme offers a range of school holiday activities for children and young people across Derbyshire in the Easter, summer and Christmas school holidays.

Department for Education

The sessions are free for families who claim benefit related free school meals and are provided by a range of local organisations and groups.

All eligible families will require a code to book a space and places are available on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to children who receive free school meals and those with vulnerabilities.

The holiday activities and food programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE).

Derbyshire's It's About Me holiday activity and food programme

We are excited to let you know that Derbyshire's popular holiday activities and food programme It's about me Derbyshire is back again for spring 2024, running free activity clubs across the county for children aged 4 to 16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals.

Holiday clubs will run during the school Easter break for an average of 4 hours a day, offering a brilliant mix of fun action-packed days and tasty food across various locations around Derbyshire.

Programme dates and activities will vary depending on the type and location of each local club, and you will need to present your It's About Me booking code to secure your free place. Please speak with your school office to get your code.
